Kindergarten for many is a transition from home to school.

Our small class sizes with a 10:1 student/teacher ratio helps students adjust easily. Students receive individualized attention in their classes. This helps them to thrive and move forward with ease.

The school also offers Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. The NYS Standards for the Common Core curriculum are followed for English Language Arts and Literacy. KG thru 2nd Grade administers the Terra Nova Standardized Exam which correlates with the Treasures Curriculum. These results give parents an indication of how their child compares on a national and individual level. Each teacher provides curriculum mapping for the year allowing them to plan and to show what is covered. Our teachers work together to support students in their lessons and assignments. The Instructional Trainer helps support classroom instruction by facilitating workshops and coaching teachers to strengthen their teaching skills.

The S.T.A.R. Folder is the school – home connection. Assignments, student calendars, and homework are contained in this folder. It is sent home each night and returned every morning. This helps the parents stay informed about what is taking place daily in school. Should the parents request additional information, the school is pleased to make an appointment to discuss their concerns.
